Misted and Broken Double Glazing Replacement
Steamed-up, cloudy or cracked sealed units replaced in the existing frame. No need for new windows.
How we approach it
When a double glazed unit mists up between the panes, the seal has failed and moisture is trapped inside. The frame is usually perfectly sound, so the fix is a new sealed unit measured and fitted into the existing window or door. We replace failed and broken units in uPVC, timber and aluminium frames, including toughened and obscure glass for bathrooms and doors.

Questions we are often asked
- Do I need a whole new window if the glass has misted up?
- Almost never. If the frame is sound, only the sealed glass unit needs replacing. It is measured on site, made to size and fitted into your existing frame.
- How long does a glass replacement take?
- Once the new unit has been made, fitting usually takes well under an hour per window. We measure first, then return to fit.
