Emergency Call-outs: Lock-outs, Smashed Glass and Doors That Will Not Secure

How we approach it
Some jobs cannot wait for a slot next week. A door that has dropped so far it will not lock, a lock that has failed with the door shut, a window or door pane smashed by a break-in, a ball or a storm, or a lost set of keys with no way in. We work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when a job needs it, and offer emergency call-outs for exactly these situations. The first aim is to make the property secure and weathertight the same visit: gaining entry with as little damage as possible, replacing the cylinder or lock, and boarding or temporarily glazing a broken pane until the new sealed unit is made and fitted.
What is covered
- Locked out: entry gained and the lock or cylinder replaced
- Smashed or cracked glass made safe, boarded or temporarily glazed, then a new unit fitted
- Doors that have dropped or failed and will not close or lock
- Break-in damage to doors, frames, locks and glass
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed
Questions we are often asked
- Do you do emergency call-outs?
- Yes. Lock-outs, smashed glass and doors that will not secure are the calls we come out for at short notice. Phone or WhatsApp with a photo and where you are, and we will tell you straight away how soon we can be there.
- Can you make a broken window safe the same day?
- Usually, yes. The broken glass is cleared, the opening boarded or temporarily glazed so the property is secure and dry, and the replacement sealed unit is measured at the same time and fitted as soon as it is made.
- I am locked out. Will you damage the door getting in?
- We open the door with as little damage as possible and replace the cylinder or lock so you have a working key straight away. In most cases the door and frame are untouched.
- What are your hours?
- Flexible. Most planned work is done in normal working hours, but we start early, work evenings and weekends when a job needs it, and take emergency calls when something cannot wait. Text, WhatsApp or email gets the quickest reply.
